In 15 days I’ll be enroute to Africa and the beginning of the countdown to departure has reminded me of those frenetic days before I went away for a year in 2005. I don’t think I slept the last two weeks.

 

This time will be different in many important ways and the crush of pre-trip concerns is also different but none-the-less they’ve forced me to pause The Interviewpoint for now. It’s my plan to return to the site in a month or two with fresh content from Africa.

 

It’s possible that will prove impossible but this is no time for pessimism.
